Google Review Link Generator for Law Firms

This Google review link generator turns your Place ID or Business Profile link into a direct link that opens the review box for your firm. Download a QR code and a printable card, and copy email and text requests written to stay within Google’s rules.

Make your review link

Paste your Place ID, or the review link from your Google Business Profile.

Where do I find this?

Easiest: sign in to Google, search your firm’s name, and in your Business Profile panel click Ask for reviews (or Get more reviews). Copy the link it shows and paste it here.

Or use your Place ID: open Google’s Place ID Finder, type your firm’s name and copy the ID that starts with “ChIJ”.

Your Google review link

Paste your Place ID or review link on the left to get started.

Ready-to-send review requests

Ask every client the same way, whatever you expect them to say. Do not offer anything in return for a review, and do not ask only the clients you think are happy – Google’s policies and many bar rules forbid both.

How to use it

Step 1

Find your Place ID

Use the Ask for reviews link from your Google Business Profile, or look up your Place ID with Google’s free Place ID Finder.

Step 2

Paste it in

The generator builds your direct review link instantly. Click Test it to make sure it opens your firm’s review box.

Step 3

Share it

Copy the link into your closing emails, download the QR code for letters and invoices, or print the card for your front desk.

Why a direct Google review link matters

Asking a client to “search for us on Google and leave a review” loses most of them along the way. A direct review link opens the review box for your firm in one tap, on a phone or a computer. It is the simplest change a firm can make to get more of the reviews clients already intend to write.

How to find your Google Place ID

The easiest route is your Google Business Profile itself. Sign in to the Google account that manages the profile, search your firm’s name, and choose Ask for reviews (sometimes labelled Get more reviews). Google shows a short link you can paste straight into the generator.

If you prefer the Place ID, open Google’s free Place ID Finder, type your firm’s name exactly as it appears on Maps and copy the code that starts with “ChIJ”. Paste it above and the generator builds the full review link for you.

How to ask clients for reviews the right way

Ask everyone, the same way

Google’s policies forbid “review gating” – asking only the clients you expect to be happy, or screening people first and sending only the positive ones to Google. Send the same request to every client when their matter closes.

Never offer anything in return

Discounts, gift cards or entries into a prize draw in exchange for a review break Google’s rules, and the FTC’s 2024 rule on consumer reviews targets incentives tied to positive reviews. Many state bar rules also restrict giving anything of value for a recommendation.

Do not write the review for them

You can thank a client and explain why reviews help others, but the words have to be theirs. Never post reviews on a client’s behalf.

Protect confidentiality when you reply

Replying to reviews is good practice, but do not confirm that the reviewer was a client or mention any detail of their matter – even to correct a negative review. A short, polite reply that invites them to contact the office is the safe pattern.

Read our guide to law firm testimonials on your website before you display reviews on your own pages, and check your state’s advertising rules for anything specific about testimonials.

Yes, asking is allowed. What Google forbids is offering incentives, asking only satisfied clients, and writing or posting reviews for people. Many bar rules add their own limits, so check your state’s rules.
